A Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, he has performed medical malpractice reviews, IMEs in medical malpractice and personal injury, and testified at deposition and in court since 1991, for both plaintiffs and defendants.

In the New Jersey Law Journal’s Best of 2025 annual survey, Wendell O. Scott, M.D., LLC, was chosen as the Best Medical Expert Witness and elected into the Best Expert Witness (Medical) Hall of Fame for the fifth consecutive year. Dr. Scott

Wendell O. Scott, M.D. is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Scott received his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. General surgery internship and residency were complet­ed at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. A residency in orthopaedic surgery was completed at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.

Following this, Dr. Scott completed a Fellowship in arthroscopy and knee surgical procedures at Washington Adventist Hospital in Tacoma Park, Maryland. Following completion of internship, residency, and fellowship, Dr. Scott began with a private practice in orthopaedic surgery in New Jersey in 1986. Dr. Scott treated clinical patients until July 2015.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Scott taught at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center as a part-time clinical instructor for over 20 years. Dr. Scott served in the United States Army Medical Reserve as a Major from 1988 until 1996. He served in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

    For more than 25 years Dr. Scott, while actively engaged in clinical practice, has performed medical legal reviews, IMEs in medical legal matters and testified at deposition and in court. He and his experienced staff provide management of medical files and radiology images, schedule telephone conferences, meetings, live or videotaped depositions and trial testimony.  Assistance with exhibits needed for deposition and trial is also provided.
